Microblading – Best Products for Professional Esthetician’s 2023

Whether you are already a professional in this field or just starting out this article is for you. We discuss some of the best products currently available on Amazon that can help your business grow. We all know when it comes to procedures like microblading it’s not just the skill you have but also the quality of the products and equipment you use that make the difference between very happy repeat client business with lots of recommendations and a disappointed one-off client, and nobody wants that! We do not discuss technique here and we 100% recommend that you do the necessary training prior to starting out if you are new to the business.

What is Microblading?

In case you are not a professional and reading this for information or interest perhaps we should explain briefly what microblading actually is.

Microblading is a type of eyebrow architecture. It is all about creating the best shape for each face and is designed for those who have eyebrows where they want to improve the shape or density and is a totally bespoke approach for each individual.  One thing to make clear is that it is not a tattoo. The method utilizes a pen-like tool with 10 to12 little needles that only scratch the skin rather than penetrating, as would a tattoo needle.

The needle, in the hands of a qualified professional, enables very lightweight strokes with a medical grade pigment on the epidermis layer of the skin, creating fine, realistic, and natural-looking hair strokes.

Microblading is not permanent and the color fades within 12 to 18 months depending on your skin type. You can read a more in-depth article here.

Important Information

There is an extremely wide range of products on the market with equally varied price ranges.  We have not been able to test these products so those we have listed below are a mixed sample and we recommend the following:-

  1. When selecting a machine choose one relative to your experience. If you are just starting out it may be more appropriate to buy a less expensive machine and use it to practice and gain experience and technique.  We do list below some Practice Skins you can use for this purpose.
  2. Please do check any reviews and take notice of those that are negative. Again we recommend that for professional usage you look for product guarantees and return options if you find the machine does not perform as expected.
  3. Please also note that there are both “Kits”, that come with everything you need to get started as well as just machines without any attachments or inks.  Please ensure you read exactly what is included and order any additional items, such as needles, inks, etc. at the same time so that you have everything you need to begin to use the machine.  Also, ensure you do order compatible items that will work with the machine you purchase.

Needles

As we have already mentioned you will need to buy needles at some point, even if you purchase a kit with these included.

The most important consideration is buying ones compatible with your machine.  Here is a sample of products that will fit the machines mentioned above but there is a wide selection of alternatives so explore but choose wisely!

Pigments

Unlike needles that need to be compatible with the machine you can choose from a wide range of available pigments.

With these your considerations should be more about the quality and purity of the inks you will be using on your clients. Additionally, the quality may well affect how well your machine and needles operate.

We also recommend you always carry out a skin test on a client before the full procedure, as no matter what the quality of the ink some clients may have an adverse reaction to the pigment.

Here are a couple of suggestions for you but there are many more on offer:-
